Accelerated Programs
If you already have some industry experience, you can get your associate degree in 12 months through our Advanced Standing program.
Garnish Your Degree If you have a bachelor's degree, this program will teach you the fundamentals, principles and techniques of culinary arts or baking and pastry arts, enabling you to earn an associate degree in just 12 months.
Freshman Advanced Study Track (FAST) If you’re enrolled in a high school or tech-prep culinary arts program, your completed academic credits may apply to JWU classes, provided your program has an agreement with JWU. Applies to culinary arts only.
Governing Accreditation Body
New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc. (NEASC), through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. This accreditation encompasses the university’s four campuses in Providence, R.I., North Miami, Fla., Denver, Colo., and Charlotte, N.C.

The State of Rhode Island has chartered Johnson & Wales University as a nonprofit degree-granting institution of higher learning. Culinary Nutrition The Providence Campus Culinary Nutrition program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetics Association, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 312-899-0040 ext. 5400. The Providence Campus Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) meets the standards of education set by CADE.
